Brand New to Pickleball?

Do I have to be a member? +

No. Walk in, book a court, or join Open Play without one. Memberships are optional perks for regulars who want priority booking and discounts.

Can I just walk in alone? +

Yes. Open Play sessions run throughout the day — drop in solo and we'll rotate you in with other players, no partner needed. Outside those windows, you'll need a court reservation or a group. Call ahead and we'll point you to the next start time.

Do I need to bring a paddle or balls? +

Nope. Loaner paddles are free at the front desk and balls are always provided. Bring your own if you've got a favorite — otherwise we've got you covered.

What does it cost? +

Open Play drop-ins are $15. Court reservations run $40/hr. Private lessons start at $60/hr. Membership ($49+/mo) pays for itself if you play 2–3 times a week.

What should I wear? +

Sneakers (court shoes ideal, any closed-toe athletic shoe works) and clothes you'd wear to a casual workout. We're climate-controlled — no need to dress for the Texas heat.

Do I need to know the rules first? +

Nope. The basics take 20 minutes to learn. Show up to Open Play and someone will walk you through serving, scoring, and the kitchen rule.

Our Story

It started
in a driveway.

"This is pickleball.
Go play."

— Mrs. Adams, our buddy's mom. The whole reason ERA exists.

We were teenagers in someone's driveway, hitting a whiffle ball back and forth with beginner paddles. Nine hours straight. That was day one.

Years later we built ERA to be the place we wished we'd had on day one. Welcoming when you walk in. Competitive when you want it to be. Easygoing when you don't. A home court for everyone — beginners through tournament regulars.
