1‑on‑1 Coaching

Private Lessons One court. One pro. One goal — you, better.

Fastest way to level up. Every minute of court time tailored to what you need to improve.

How It Works

Booked, paired, on a court.

1

Pick a slot

Browse open lesson times on PlayByPoint. Lessons run 60 minutes by default — longer sessions available on request.

2

Tell us your goal

A short pre-lesson note helps your pro plan the session. "I keep popping up dinks." "I want to learn to serve harder." Specifics save time.

3

Show up & play

Your pro is on the court, paddles ready. Sixty focused minutes — targeted drills, live reps, video review if you want it.

Who Books Lessons

Three kinds of players.

All three benefit. None feel out of place.

01

Brand new

Never picked up a paddle? Skip the awkward "what's a kitchen?" stage and learn the fundamentals correctly the first time. One lesson saves you weeks of bad habits.

  • · Grip, stance, and ready position
  • · Serve, return, third shot basics
  • · Where to stand and why
Most Booked
02

Stuck at 3.5

You play three times a week and you're not getting any better. We see it constantly. A pro spots in 10 minutes what you've been missing for months.

  • · Soft-game / dinking discipline
  • · Resets, blocks, counter-attacks
  • · Court positioning & partner sync
03

Tournament prep

Bracket coming up? We sharpen specific situations — pace control, return depth, switching strategy — and run match-pressure drills.

  • · Pre-tournament tune-up
  • · Strategy sessions with your partner
  • · Video review of recent matches

Common Questions

Before you book.

Do I need to be a member to book a lesson? +
No. Anyone can book a private lesson at ERA. Members do get priority booking and a small discount on packs — see Memberships.
What if I've literally never played? +
Perfect. Brand-new is one of our three core lesson types. Your pro will start with grip, stance, and how to keep score. By the end of one lesson you'll be playing actual rallies.
Do you provide paddles? +
Yes — loaner paddles are available on the house for your first lesson or two. If you want to commit, we sell paddles at the desk and can recommend one to fit your style.
Can my partner and I take a lesson together? +
Yes — that's a semi-private lesson. Same pro, two players, slightly higher rate per lesson but lower per-person. Great for couples or doubles partners working on chemistry. Contact us to set it up.
What's your cancellation policy? +
Reschedule up to 24 hours before with no penalty. Inside 24 hours, the lesson is forfeited from your pack. We hold the court and the pro's time for you — please give notice when you can.
How is a lesson different from a clinic? +
A private lesson is 1-on-1 and 100% about you. A clinic is a small-group skill workshop on a specific theme (dinking, third shots, doubles strategy). Both are good — lessons fix your game faster, clinics are cheaper and more social.

Stop guessing. Get coached.

One hour with a pro is worth a month of "figuring it out."
